Dr. Marcelo Sampaio CRM-74553
My name is Marcelo, I come from a family of doctors for several generations. My father was an anesthesiologist and my great-great-grandfather, the oldest ascendant that I know of, graduated from the Bahia School of Surgery in 1859. With this story, Medicine came very naturally to me. In college and during my residency in General Surgery at Hospital das Clínicas, Faculty of Medicine, USP, I had the opportunity to get to know all the specialties and be enchanted by each one. I thought about becoming a pediatrician, cardiologist and digestive system surgeon, but I really fell in love with plastic surgery. I was delighted with the possibility of restoring, rebuilding and beautifying, I specialized in Plastic Surgery residency at the Hospital das Clínicas of the Faculty of Medicine of USP (1995 to 1998) and began to perform the first procedures. Since then, it's been more than 20 years of career and 4,000 stories that I've been able to hear, understand and transform, something I value very much. In this trajectory, I had the privilege of coordinating for 12 years the philanthropic breast plastic surgery project of the Mastology Center of the Sírio-Libanês Hospital and getting to know different realities. In addition to working with patients, I dedicate valuable time to studies, conferences, seminars and courses. In 2012, I obtained the title of Master of Science at USP, when I defended my thesis on female breast sensitivity. It will be a pleasure to hear your story and help in any way I can.
