Centro Médico Viver Melhor
The Viver Melhor Medical Center, or CMVM, as its founders usually call it, is the product of the success story of a family that has been providing services to Medicine for 3 generations.
The first generation of the Stocchero family was formed by Dr. Antonio Stocchero, Surgeon, and Dr Leonor Nogueira de Figueiredo, Gynecologist and Obstetrician, both graduated from the Federal University of Paraná.
After moving to São Paulo, the couple’s son, Ithamar, undoubtedly inspired by his parents’ profession, joined the 57th Class of the USP School of Medicine, starting a new page in its history.

Dr. Alexandre Fonseca
Ithamar Nogueira Stocchero is the son of a couple of doctors trained at the Federal University of Paraná: Leonor, a gynecologist and obstetrician and Antonio, a surgeon. Born in Londrina, Ithamar came to São Paulo as a child. He studied at Mackenzie College and in 1969 he entered the USP School of Medicine, in Class 57. While still at graduation he met Gelde, his freshman, whom he married the day he graduated (Gelde was still starting his sixth year of medicine). Dr. Ithamar did the General Surgery residency at HCFMUSP, and soon after the end of the second year of residency he became a Preceptor. That was when Eleonora, the couple's first child, was born in 1977. The now family then decided to face a challenge, setting out to be doctors at Projeto Jari, in the Amazon. After 2 years serving the Jari community, providing deliveries and surgeries, they returned to São Paulo, where Gustavo was born in 1979. Dr. Ithamar was then doing a Plastic Surgery residency with Professor Roberto Millan, at the Plastic Surgery Service of Hospital Santa Catarina, where he would start a brilliant career. In 1984, Guilherme, their youngest son, was born. Dr. Ithamar and Dr. Gelde were already working together in the private clinic when, in 1995, they founded the Viver Melhor Medical Center, at the address where it still operates today. He developed several techniques, such as the "L" Mammoplasty and the most revolutionary of them, the mini facelift "Round Block SMAS Treatment", or simply RBST, a technique that Dr. Ithamar internationally, being invited to the main congresses around the world. He collaborated with the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery, where he is a Titular Member and participated as General Treasurer of the SBCP between 1992 and 1995 and later became President of the São Paulo Regional, in 2004 and 2005. Following an old wish, Dr. Ithamar enrolled in the doctoral program at Unicamp in 2016, and in September 2019 he defended his thesis on Stem Cell Transfer.
